Wei Zhang is a staff analytical scientist at Regeneron, Rensselaer, NY. In 2006, Wei received his PhD in organic chemistry from Oregon State University, where his research focused on the total syntheses of natural products for potential anticancer therapies. After a postdoctoral position at Texas A&M University, Wei started his career in pharmaceutical industry and accumulated extensive experience in medicinal chemistry, chemical process development, impurity risk management, MS-based trace impurity analysis, and E&L program management. Since 2018, Wei has been working within Regeneron QC analytical sciences division, and his main functions include E/L program management and cross-functional technical support related to late phase biopharmaceutical manufacturing process.
