Maria João Sarmento graduated in Chemical Engineering, holds a Master degree in Biotechnology, and her area of expertise is the quality control of pharmaceutical products. With a vast experience of more than 25 years, she has worked in the areas of the analytical development and validation of methods, quality control of pharmaceutical products, cleaning validation processes, stability studies, management of the laboratory (qualification of equipment, purchase of materials), as well as supporting quality assurance and regulatory activities.
At QPLab she holds the position of Head of Research & Analytical Development.
