Mac Taylor D.V.M., DABT is a Managing Toxicologist for SafeBridge and has over 18 years’ experience in pharmacology and toxicology as a researcher, study monitor, and consultant. He is certified by the American Board of Toxicology and holds a D.V.M. from the North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Taylor has extensive experience in: (1) performing qualitative and quantitative risk assessments including evaluating toxicological and exposure information to determine potential health effects of chemicals, (2) developing and presenting toxicological data for the target audience (e.g., regulatory agency; business leader; scientist); (3) developing and conducting IND enabling nonclinical toxicology studies, (4) writing the nonclinical portions of an IND.

SESSION: Assessing sensitization Hazards of Extractables and Leachables
◆ Discussion of why sensitization is of importance to E&L.
◆ Presentation of a framework methodology for dermal sensitization assessment.
◆ Case Study – assessment of sensitization potential for compounds detected in a simulated leachable study of a dermal transdermal patch.
◆ Using the available dermal sensitization methodology/data to extrapolate to parenteral sensitization.
